NGC 2442
A face-on barred galaxy found in the Southern Constellation of Volans. Called a "barred" type galaxy because it exhibits a central like bar, from which the spiral arms then extend. At about 50 million light years distance it is the brightest of the Dorado Group of galaxies, with a magnitude of 11.2. Notice the dark dust lane that extents along the left spiral arm.

2x240 second single frame exposures stacked, calibrated.
